RFC 40: Two Heavy Handed Knockout Artist Headline A Stacked Card

Florida’s longest running MMA promotion RFC will hold their 40th event this Friday, July 21 at Tampa’s A La Carte Pavalion.

The main event features the return of Strikeforce veteran TJ Cook, who will be returning to the cage for the first time in 5 years. Cook will be taking on homegrown talent Ronnie “The Pit” Phillips, who is coming off of a devastating knockout win at RFC 38. These two will be guaranteed “Fireworks” with only 2 of their combined 24 fights making it to the final bell.

Some other highlights of the night include Gracie Tampa North’s John Garcia taking on David Hayes who has fought the likes of UFC vets Colby Covington and Niko Price. Also on the main card is a battle between Christian Lohsen and Blake Smith, two undefeated Lightweight prospects looking to climb the rankings.
